My Updates
It has been a long time since I've been on here. I have a lot of great news!
I worked hard for a few years making and selling my fabric wreaths. I have also made quite a few Specialty Baby Quilts. They all have been personalized with their names, birthdates, weights and measurements on some. I have made some with sensory items sewn into them.
I am now making some throws, twins, queens and kings. I have purchased a Quilting machine so I can Quilt my own and want to expand on providing quilting service to other fellow Quilters.
I am now going to provide my services and make your prized Tee Shirts into a Quilt for you. I will match or better any advertised price. (Must be a published add) Otherwise it will be $20 a shirt. That includes all fabric, stabilizer, batting, and the quilting.
Hopefully in the future I plan on having displays in craft shows.
Sorry Too Long Coming
I forgot and didn't publish this last Blog 😔
Today is 6/12/2025 (just to clarify)
Time to update the update LOL
I have been retired now for a year from Ford, and I am so happy I did it!!
My husband and I have purchased another house and have been moving our household and business to it. We are waiting for him to retire to move permanently. This Week I have been working on organizing my work room in the basement. The quilting machine has just been set up ready for my new orders.
Don't get me wrong I've still been quilting I just recently been finishing up a few projects. I've been trying some Paper Piecing. For those that don't know what it is, it is hand stitching quilt pieces together. (not with a machine) But I do plan on quilting them on my quilter. I started off making throws and ended up with a Twin size and a Queen comforter.I think we are going to really enjoy living up here!
Now that I'm retired I think my days are just as busy as if I was working.I am now helping my mom and dad out of and on through the week and I have gotten a part time job working for Walmart that's turning into a fulltime one. I'm working 4 days a week now' Oh my I thought I retired.😟😟😂 I't is the busy season up here. Hopefully when Dan gets up here full time I'll be able to quit there and sew full time.
OH guess what this month and next is? The Michigan Shop Hop! Oh last year was so fun I made it to almost all 80 quilt stores. It was my retirement vacation and one of my best friends Karen went with me talk about a road trip. I had purchased a jeep and we drove that thing about 2000 miles shopping! A girls dream come too. We met so many nice people us quilters are the best and the husbands are too. Many of them tagged along and I think some of them enjoyed it as much as the girls. This year there are over a hundred stores participating and tons of prizes. Look it up on line many other states have them too! Too bad I won't make it to many of them this year.
Ok so much for me gabbing on I'm going to leave you with a few pics. I hope you enjoy them I'll be updating you again soon! Keep on sewing. Bye Penny's Precious Treasures
